Artist Statement
I’ve been drawing and painting all my life. My first memory was from nursery school, the subject being a big snake.
My style combines representation, abstraction, and the pleasures of my media.
Lately I’ve been working in soft pastels and mixed media, using geological maps and navigational charts as my substrate.
Now living in Meaford, I’m drawn to our environment and the way people interact with it. I explore human behaviours and the value our culture places on nature and commerce.
